Hey Subscribers,
I need to tell you something, and there's no smooth way to say it, so I'm just going to say it: Abby Rundown is shutting down.
I know, I know. Who's going to tell you the next big event coming to town now? Who's going to remind you to do good things and be positive?
Here's the truth: I started this newsletter because I love this City, and for a few months it was a genuine joy. But I also run a business — actually, several — and lately I've been trying to write a local Newsletter at 11pm while also fixing someone's cracked laptop screen at 7am. Something had to give, and honestly, you deserve a newsletter writer who isn't running on fumes and coffee grounds. (if someone wants to continue this I will be glad to sell you the domain name at cost and help you get started)
So I'm making the responsible-adult choice: I'm closing up shop on Abby Rundown to focus on the work that actually pays my bills — computer repair, digital marketing, lead generation for small businesses, and photo restoration (yes, I can bring your great-grandmother's water-damaged wedding photo back from the dead — it's oddly one of my favorite things I do).
This isn't goodbye, though. It's more like "see you around town," except now I'll be the guy who fixes your laptop instead of the guy who tells you about the laptop-fixing guy.
If you ever need a computer that's given up on life to be rejuvenated, a business that needs more customers, or a photo that time has not been kind to — you know where to find me.
Thanks for reading. It meant more than you know.
Regards
Jim Wright
P.S. Seriously — if your business could use more leads or your website looks like it was built in 2009 (no judgment, some of them were), just send me a message at [email protected] First conversation's free, no pitch, no pressure.
